Who’s Moving Where In Wealth Management? – Evelyn Partners, Pretium

The latest moves and appointments in wealth management roles in the UK, the rest of Europe, the Middle East and other select locations.

This week Evelyn
Partners, a UK wealth management and professional services
group, has appointed Jonathan Thornton as a transaction
services partner.
Thornton is joining Evelyn Partners from Quantuma where he focused on providing financial due diligence to lower to mid-market private equity firms. Prior to that, he was a partner at PwC focusing on providing financial due diligence to larger private equity firms and family offices.
He has over 25 years of deals' experience including extensive periods in both Eastern Europe and the Middle East, the firm said in a statement.
The transaction services team, led by Mark Benka, advises private equity firms, corporate clients, banks and family offices, providing financial due diligence and sale and purchase agreement advice on transactions. It also responsible for reporting accountant and assist services in connection with IPOs and other capital markets transactions.
Benka, head of transaction services at Evelyn Partners, said: “It is an exciting time for our transaction services business as we are continuing to see our share of the market increase.”
Pretium
Pretium, a specialised
investment firm with about $50 billion in assets under
management, has appointed Rune Sanbeck as managing director,
business development.
Sanbeck will lead fundraising, client support, and business
development strategy for Europe-based allocators and
institutional investors, primarily supporting Pretium's real
estate and private credit offerings.
With more than two decades of experience in the space, most
recently Sanbeck was MD and head of international business at AIG
First Principles. Prior this, he was head of Europe, Middle East
and Africa, head of Nuveen UK and director of Nuveen Asset
Management. Sanbeck has also served in senior roles with
BlackRock/BGI, Danske Capital, and Dimensional Fund Advisors.
Pretium, which concentrates on US residential real estate,
residential credit, and corporate credit, was founded in 2012. It
employs more than 4,000 people across 30 offices, including
Dubai, London, Seoul and Sydney.
