Quilter Cheviot
UK-based Quilter Cheviot, a discretionary fund management and financial planning business, has hired James Charlton (pictured) as an investment manager, based in Liverpool. He will report to Nigel Hibbert, executive director and head of the Liverpool office.

Charlton will be responsible for managing tailored investment portfolios for families, business owners and executives to support them to meet their long-term life and financial objectives.

A former president of the CISI Liverpool, Chester & North Wales branch, he brings nearly two decades of experience to the company. Charlton, who joins from Barclays Private Bank, previously worked at Tilney and Deutsche Bank in investment management roles.

“James brings a huge amount of experience with him from his time in the high net worth market and, as such, he knows exactly what that cohort comes to expect from a tailored investment management service, as well as anticipating client needs,” Hibbert said. “This is a great addition to our Liverpool office and allows us to reach more clients in the region who would benefit from such expertise.”
